Well, we finally have the Syllabus for the Old Testament:

Syllabus Old Testament Survey 13 weeks

This 13 week course is the 1st part of a Survey of Biblical History based upon the book, “An Illustrated Guide to Biblical History” by Kendal H. Easley. Published by Holman. It is highly recommended you purchase the book. It is an excellent book to add to any Christian’s library. The cost for the book through the Church is 20.00. Please be aware there will be a final exam at the end of the 13 weeks. We would like for everyone who enrolls in the Old Testament Survey to commit to the next 13 weeks for New Testament Survey.

Week 1: Creation to the time of end of Genesis. Pages 2 to 21 Time line ( Creation to 1805 BC )

Week 2: Exodus to Joshua: Pages 22 to 43 Time line (1876 BC to 1380 BC)

Week 3: The Monarchy and the building of the Temple. Pages 45-70 Time Line (1380 BC to 931 BC)

Week 4: The Divided Kingdom: Pages 72-90 Time line (931 BC to 841 BC)

Week 5: The Assyrian Threat: Pages 91-104: Time Line (841 BC to 722 BC)

Week 6: The Babylonian Threat Page 106 – 122: Time Line (722BC to 526 BC)

Week 7: The Remnant in Babylon and the Return to Israel: Pages 124 to 139 (526 BC to 539 BC)

Week 8: The rise of the Persian Empire: Pages 139 to 143 (539BC to 331 BC)

Week 9: The rise of the Greek Empire: Pages 144 to 152 (331 BC to 63 BC)

Week 10: The rise of the Roman Empire: Pages 154 to 159 (63 BC to 70 AD)
Week 11: Roman Rule Continued: A look into Flavius Josephus
Week 12: Roman Rule Conclusion:
Week 13: Review and Final Exam.
